Minister of Youth and Sports Development Mr. Sunday Dare has outlined Nigeria's expectations from Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr following the extension of his contract. Sunday Dare mandates Edo NSF Covid-19 Committe to deliver

The Minister of Youth and Sports Development Mr. Sunday Dare has charged the Covid-19 Edo 2020 National Sports Festival Committee to work as quickly as possible to deliver on their mandate. Speaking during the inauguration yesterday, Mr. Dare said, " The inauguration of this committee is a fall out of last week's Council of Sports meeting. The effort to deliver on your mandate has started. This assignment must be given the urgency it deserves. "We must follow the regime of what obtains globally. This is a call to duty which must be handled with all the seriousness it deserves. I charge you to carry out this task within the stipulated period of 30 days in which you are expected to submit your report". Covid19: Vandrezzer Support Journalists with N500,000 urged media practitioner to remain resolute.

The adverse effects of Covid19 pandemic on global economy is immeasurable and its ripple effect on many fronts, particularly Sporting events, which has brought about a total lockdown in the industry has left many journalists in financial crises. However, succor came to the fourth realm estate from a rare end as Vandrezzer FC, a Nigerian National League side, donate the sum of Five hundred thousand Naira (N500,000) to cushion effect of the pandemic. VANDREZZER GIVES IKOT EKPENE STADIUM FACE-LIFT

The 5,000 capacity township stadium in Ikot Ekpene District of Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria is currently receiving a face-lift courtesy five months old NNL club Vandrezzer FC. The contract for the face-lift worth millions of Naira was awarded by Vandrezzer FC to local contractors in the state. The implementation is in two phases : the first phase involves the ongoing regrassing (planting) of the pitch, daily watering and supply of nutrients. The second phase will take care of daily,proper maintenance for effective pitch preservation before, during and after use. According to the workers, the pitch will be in great shape and will ready in few weeks, hopefully before the NNL resumes for the year 2020. This pitch project is in addition to painting of the entire stadium, restructuring of all dressing rooms, renovation of stands, fixing of technical benches and  refurbishing of other parts of the facility, which were carried out before the close of last year. Gernot Rohr extends Super Eagles' contract.

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has finally agreed to a contract extension with the Nigeria Football Federation after a protracted contract negotiations. The new contract which is embedded with some stringent measures will see the German tactician agreed to a pay cut, recieved salaries in local currency and be ready to reside in Nigeria amongst other conditions. COVID-19: NVBF donates Palliatives to State Associations

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has donated palliatives to the 37 states associations' in order to cushion the effects of the Corona Virus (COVID-19) Pandemic. Professor Florence Adeyanju The Chairperson NVBF welfare committee, Professor Florence Adeyanju disclosed this to newsmen in Kaduna on Wednesday. Professor Adeyanju said palliatives became necessary due to the difficulties players are passing through in the COVID-19 pandemic. The Professor of Human Kinetics said the palliative donated is courtesy the President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod. She said, “The reason behind the palliatives is due to the difficulties the players are passing through in their respective states.
