Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has finally agreed to a contract extension with the Nigeria Football Federation after a protracted contract negotiations. The new contract which is embedded with some stringent measures will see the German tactician agreed to a pay cut, recieved salaries in local currency and be ready to reside in Nigeria amongst other conditions.
According to Radio France reports, Rohr sighted the "core of youthful but experience players in the Super Eagles as is his motivation to agreed to the new deal"
The contract extension is expected to be officially formalized sometime next week and part of the obligations is to qualify and lead Nigeria to the African Cup of Nations slated for Cameroon next year and the 2022 FIFA World cup in Qatar.
