Adigun To Contest For Athletes Commission At Beijing 2022.

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has accepted the application of the Technical Director of Bobsled and Skeleton Federation of Nigeria, Dr. Seun Adigun, to contest election into the IOC Athletes’ Commission for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics Games. A specialist in the 100metres hurdles, who represented the University of Houston in track and field, Adigun dominated the scene and became a three-time national champion, two-time African champion and represented Nigeria at the London 2012 Olympics Games. Adigun's quest for election to the prestigious panel comes following her pioneering role in setting up the Bobsled and Skeleton Federation in Nigeria. From her experience as a rookie Brakeman in the United States of America's Bobsled team, she stepped up to contribute to the formation of Africa's first ever Bobsled Team. Taye Muritala: Former Nigeria U23 invitee joins the Tourists' train

Former Nigeria U23 invitee, Taye Muritala has joined Wikki Tourists from 3SC, with the club beating off rivals including Gombe United, Nasarawa United and Plateau United. The versatile defender was widely regarded as one of Shooting Stars' best young performers last term, he helped the club gain promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). His move to Bauchi represents something of a coup for the Giant Elephants. Adeniyi Bamidele: Reliable keeper seeks annointing at the Cathedral

Nigeria Professional Football League giants Rangers have completed the signing of experienced goalkeeper Adeniyi Bamidele from MFM FC. Bamidele penned a two-year deal with the club after successful negotiations. The 29-year-old spent last season at MFM where he made 19 appearances and kept seven cleansheets. Badawiy: Ottasolo Pre Season Tournament Will Be The Best In Nigeria

The Coordinator of the Organizing Committee of the 2021 Ottasolo Pre Season Tournament, Mallam Badawiy Bashir has asserted that the objective is to ensure that the tournament becomes the best pre-season competition in Nigeria. Ogunjobi Gold Cup: 3SC Subdue Resilient FC Ebedei

Shooting Stars got their Ogunjobi Gold Cup campaign off in a flying start after they came from behind to beat FC Ebedei 3-1 on Matchday One of the pre-season tournament. It was a game of two halves as the Oluyole Warriors scored three second half goals after the Oliseh Boys had got fans talking inside the FC Ebedie Stadium, taking the lead in the 20th minute courtesy of a brilliant strike from  Moses Obule. Samuel Oguche Basketball Youth Camp Set To Dunk Off In December

Former Nigeria Basketball star Samuel Oguche is set to hold a Basketball camp for teeming youths across the country in December.  The camp which is designed for young boys and girls will be drawn from all geopolitical zones. Addressing the media, Oguche disclosed the high level of preparation being put together in collaboration with Kogi state government to have a successful youth camp. Caretaker Committee Set Up To Run Badminton In Nigeria

The path to normalcy in the administration of badminton in Nigeria was on Monday charted as a caretaker committee was sworn-in to run the affairs of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN). Abeokuta 10KM Race : Winners To Receive Their Prize Money In Record Time

The organizers of Abeokuta 10 kilometre race, Nilayo Sports Management Limited (NSML), have revealed that eventual winners at the 2021 edition scheduled for November 13 will be paid 48 hours after the race. Managing Director of NSML, Hon. Bukola Olopade said it's a record time of crediting winners, a development he described as a step in the right direction. The 2021 Abeokuta 10 kilometre race with the theme, "Naija, Race For Homeland" is restricted to indigenous runners, the first time of having such in the history of races put together by the foremost sports marketing company. As member nations prepare for the Common Wealth Games, the Queen's Baton Relay, an iconic event has started with a special event at Buckingham Palace in London as part of the city's Commonwealth Day festivities. Nigeria international Tebo Franklin registered an assist on Sunday afternoon to help Hacken defeat Orebro 2-1 in the Swedish Allsvenskan. NOC Takes Olympic Value Education Programe To Universities

The 6th Edition of Olympic Value Education programme (OVEP) held at Nile University, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja ended on Friday 1st October, 2021. The OVEP programme was designed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and supervised by the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC). It is a yearly programme for Nigeria university athletes which was started in 2020 and runs in three phases yearly. 2020/2021 LSFA/Winners Golden Bet FA Cup Kick Off Date and Modalities Announced

The 2020/21 Lagos State Football Association / Winners Golden Bet FA Cup, has been scheduled to start on October 26, 2021 in Lagos. According to the Secretary of the Lagos FA, Akeem Rabiu Okikioposu, registration for the Lagos FA Cup which meant for all registered players and clubs with the Lagos State Football Assocation has already started 11 days back, since September 21, 2021, and it closes on Thursday October 14, 2021. He noted that for proper documentation, which is the processing of licenses shall commence on Friday, October 15, 2021, and closes on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. It has been revealed that more Nigeria Professional Football League sides have signified their interest in taking part in the maiden edition of the Ottasolo Pre-Season tournament.
