36 Lion roar in Venezuela as Samson Akinyoola, Ade Oguns joins Caracas

The duo of 36 Lion FC players Samson Akinyoola and Ade Oguns, striker and midfielder respectively, have completed a move to Venezuelan giant Caracas FC.

The transfer move which was assisted by Cem Sagar, a top class U. K. Licensed FIFA Agent was on Tuesday.

Announcing the deal, the visibly elated 36 Lion FC Chairman Hajji Gafar Liameed thanks the intermediary Agent who facilitated the deal and pour encomium on the players.

"We announce the signing and unveiling of our two top attackers, Ade Oguns and Samson Akinyool in the far South America with Caracas Football Club in Venezuela.

"These two Lions attacking prowess kept us afloat 2018/2019 Nigeria National League tough season."

The attacking duo who formed a formidable partnership during their time with 36 Lions were succinctly described by Gafar as "Send a long pass to Ade, he will locate Samson. Get the ball to Samson and he’ll assist Ade."

"It’s really rare for two youth players from West Africa sign in the same Champions League Club anywhere but Cem believed strongly in the combination of these two Lions. We also know it’ll be a massive mileage for Caracas FC."

The 36 Lion Director congratulates the two players and wish them all the best in their new endeavors.

"Congratulations Ade. Congratulations Samson. We wish both of you all the best! Go on and conquer the entire South America."

Dream Team Keeps Dream Alive

The Nigeria U23 team defeated Libya's U23 4-0 to progress to the next round of the 2019 U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers as Osimhen grabs hattrick. It was a resounding victory for the Dream team as they overturned a two goal deficit suffered in the first leg. Coach Imama Amapakabo left no stone unturned as he rejigged the squad that went down in Tunis by drafting in Francis Uzoho, Osimhen, Chidozie Awaziem and Valentine Ozoruwafor from the Super Eagles to the Olympics team. It was a tedious opening 20 minutes as the Dream team struggle to find the openings while the Libyans  comfortably held on to their defensive strategies in the scorching 33°c weather temperature in Asaba. Taiwo Awoniyi failed to capitalize on a gifted opportunity in the 14 minutes as the Libyan goalkeeper parried Nwakali's freekick to his path at a close range. But Osimhen broke the deadlock in the half-hour mark when he pounce on a rebound as the Libyan goalkeeper failed to deal with another Nwak...
