Coach Tenger seeks Gov. Ortom's intervention over unpaid wages

Former Lobi stars Technical Adviser coach Justin Tenger has appealed to the Benue state Governor  Samuel Ortom to save his life by intervening in his unpaid retirement wages. The former coach of kwara United FC and ex Kano Pillars handler said his retirement benefits of 24 months pension and full gratuity have not been paid to him as a retired staff of the Benue state sports council years after he left service. He lamented that his life as an ambassador of the state who had coached several clubs in the country and the only coach from the Tiv nation to have won the FA cup (now Aiteo cup) is becoming unbearable . The president of Nigeria Women Football League side, Naija Ratels FC, Barrister Paul Edeh on wednesday visited the new NWFL Secretariat which is under renovation, where he paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Chief Operating Officer of the league, Mrs Faith Ben-Anuge. The Naija Ratel boss also took advantage of the visit to donate a digital multi-functional copier, an embossed number clock and twenty match balls to the NWFL. New dawn beckons as NBBF, Total E&P signs 5-year sponsorship deal

The Nigeria Basketball Federation will officially sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Total E&P Nigeria Limited on September 15, 2020 for the sponsorship of Division 1 and 2 men basketball leagues. Announcing this to the members of the board on Tuesday, the federation's Secretary General, Afolabi-Oluwayemi Olabisi said the landmark event will hold at the company's headquarters in Lagos at 10:00am.    Engr. NPFL 2020/21 season: LMC fixed date for Players' License Submission

 The League Management Company (LMC) has fixed September 18 as commencement date for the submission of players’ licensing applications for the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season. The LMC, in a statement, yesterday, directed the clubs to  support their applications with relevant documents,  while spot checking of the clubs by the First Instant Body (FIB) the league’s management body, to verify submissions made, holds from September 21-26. An action plan and check list to guide the clubs through the process indicates that the LMC and the clubs will hold virtual meetings from Wednesday, September 10 to 18, to assist the clubs on how to carry out documentation for licensing. According to the action plan, a meeting of the FIB has been scheduled for September 30, with the outcome of its decisions released on October 2, while clubs that may not be satisfied with any decisions of the FIB are to file appeals not later than October 7. Highly experienced Nigerian born defender, Akinsola Azeez Akinyemi has completed his move to top Israeli side  ahead of new season.
