World Volleyball U-19 championship: We are going to Iran to win, says Team Nigeria Captain

The captain of the U-19 national volleyball male team Michael Abari has promised the nation that the boys will go for glory in Iran.

The team jet out of Abuja last night to participate in the world under 19 volleyball tournament holding this weekend in Tehran (Iran).

The skipper of the team Michael Abari said that he is optimistic that the team will perform creditably well at the tourney.

"We have been in camp for 3 months and we are ready for the competition".

He said, the team is ready to best their previous records in the tournament.

"We know where we stand the last time, right now we want to bring glory to Nigeria, we can better our previous achievements".

Nigeria is grouped with Iran, Poland and Guatemala for the World Cup that starts on August 24th.
