Suzuki Becomes Official Automobile Partner Of Abeokuta Marathon, ValueJet Remo Ultra Race

Japanese Company Suzuki has officially become the Automobile Partner of the Abeokuta 10KM Marathon and the ValueJet IAU African Championship.


The groundbreaking partnership was sealed between Suzuki and the organizer of the athletic events Nilayo Sports Management Limited today at the headquarters of Suzuki in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Speaking at the event, Managing Director of Nilayo Sports Management Limited Hon. Bukola Olopade expressed confidence that the partnership will further strengthen a foundation that is already solid.


He said "As for the Abeokuta Marathon, it's a plus for the 10km event, it would definitely add new and obvious touches".


Hon Olopade who is a former commissioner for sports in Ogun State also added that the Remo Ultra Race will take a beautiful shape in 2021, adding that the partnership with Suzuki means more value has been added.

On her part, General manager of Suzuki Aissatou Diouf, Suzuki is proud to associate with a company that has done tremendous things in the last couple of years.


Aissatou Diouf said "When we saw what Nilayo Sports Management Limited was doing, it was easy to do business with them, we know the advantage and value it will add to us so it's a win win situation and we are happy that this partnership has officially started".


Chief Operating officer of Nilayo Sports Management Limited, Mr Seyi Johnson appreciated Suzuki for what they are bringing on the table, he let out that there is more to come from the brand


The deal for the two races is worth two hundred million naira a year for two years with a guaranteed extension of another three years.


It was also revealed that winners would be gifted branded Suzuki cars.


The 2021 10KM Abeokuta Marathon has been scheduled for November 13, while the ValueJet IAU African Championship will come up on December 4.

The Nigeria U23 team defeated Libya's U23 4-0 to progress to the next round of the 2019 U23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers as Osimhen grabs hattrick.
