SheFootball Conference 2020: A New Dawn for Women's Football - Ayisat

Founder of Ayisat Yusuf – Aromire Foundation, Mrs Ayisat Yusuf – Aromire has pledged to continue promoting women’s football and footballers through her foundation.
Ayisat, who is an Ex – Falcon International, said, Anew dawn is here for female football through my foundation as we plan to take our contributions to NEXT LEVEL this year with Awards of Scholarships to female footballers in higher institutions.

SheFootball Conference 2020 will address some challenges facing women’s football development with the Theme: Advancing Women Football beyond Peripheral.
This year’s event will feature about 500 girls from across the country to chart a new way for women’s football development.
Ayisat, a philanthropist, who has been described by many as blessing to young generation of female of footballers, has chosen to impact lives through the Ayisat Yusuf – Aromire Foundation with sole agenda to empower women across Nigeria and Africa.
Ayisat enjoyed over 13 years of professional footballing career from 1996 to 2009. She has had over 68 caps for Nigeria and 108 international club appearances between 2004 and 2009.

Ayisat played in several clubs both home and abroad in countries namely Nigeria, Finland and Sweden. Ayisat was an instrumental member of the Nigeria’s Super Falcons in China (FIFA World Cup) 2007, Algeria, South Africa and Nigeria 2007, 2004 & 2003 respectively.
She is passionate about Women’s Football and has contributed immensely to the growth of the game through empowerment of Girl – Child across Europe and Nigeria. She is a Board Member of UEFA FARE NETWORK (Fight Against Racism in Europe) and Founder, SheFootball Initiative for empowering Women footballers in Africa.

Former Nigerian youth International Michael Nsien has highlighted the need for Nigeria to adopt a uniform pattern across the National teams for smooth transition of players and to achieve a visible success.
