KEMI OGUNFUWA: FALCONS WILL SOAR IN FRANCE

Chairperson of Nigeria Eagles Supporters Club Kemi Ogunfuwa has sent a goodwill message to the Super Falcons of Nigeria who will file out today against Norway in their opening Group A match at the ongoing Women's FIFA World cup in France.

The 10 times African Champions is back at the Women's World Cup and looking to carry the torch for Africa with a deep run in the competition. Having qualified for every World Cup, the Super Falcons find themselves in a tricky Group A with host France, South Korea and Norway, where they hope to sneak out at least four points from the first two games and not be forced to beat France to move on. A tall task but Nigeria has the ability.

"I believe Super Falcons have what it takes to perform excellently in France. Given the quality and years of experience I am hopeful our girls will make us proud".

"I understand the group has been tagged one of the difficult group in the tournament but our team can make impossible become possible with  cheer determination and gel. We pull a pleasant surprise in 1999 when only few gave Falcons the chance to excel during that tournament, I implore the players to take inspiration from there and go all out to give good account of themselves", Kemi Ogunfuwa said.

Kemi Ogunfuwa who is in Asaba to jeer Super Eagles up in a sent forth match against Warriors of Zimbabwe towards the AFCON in Egypt equally seized the opportunity to thank NFF for doing their best to give our National teams a befitting preparation going to the AFCON.

"I wish to express my satisfaction with the level of preparation I've seen so far with the Super Eagles towards the Nations Cup. I think NFF has done tremendously well to support the team. With the level of preparation I've seen so far I think we have all it takes to go for the trophy which we last won in 2013".

Observers believe the fierce struggle for dominance may be linked to the influence such a large financial contribution would command. More troubling, however, is the absence of official clarification. All efforts to reach Browns Nigeria officials for confirmat...

Nigeria need to adopt symmetry approach across the national teams- coach Michael Nsien

I am not sure that cohesion is in the Nigeria football setup, from top to the bottom, that the coaches...
