The southwest zonal elimination for National Sports Festival has reach the top gear as teams expected to participates across the zone arrived Obafemi Awolowo stadium Ibadan, Oyo state capital yesterday and today.
The event which is slated between 18th-20th October is expected to produced zonal champions in team sport like football, basketball, volley ball, handball, Abula, cricket etc for the December 6 to December 16 National Sports Festival in Abuja.
Teams and delegate from Lagos, Ogun and the host state Oyo are already on ground while the event coordinators are doing their best to sort out accommodation and other essential logistics has athletes are seen being usher to their hostel.
Meanwhile, the coordinator of Team Lagos had a brief meeting with the captains of respective teams from #TeamLagos captains. He encouraged them to be patient and make do with what was provided for them by the organizers in terms of facilities and logistics.
He promised that their allowances shall be dully taking care and spur them to look at the big picture which is the main NSF event.
Events are expected to kick off at 9a.m tomorrow.
