Surulere LGA wins 2023 Lagos Street Soccer Championship hosting right

Surulere Local Government will host the 2023 Lagos Street Soccer Championship (LSSC) set for October. Chairman of the Lagos Street Soccer body, Bolaji Yusuf, made this known during a visit to the Chairman of the Surulere LGA in his office on Wednesday, 30 August 2023. According to the Yusuf-led committee tasked with reviving the visions of the pioneers of the championship launched in 2008 by the Lagos State Football Association, Surulere was the preferred choice out of the several hosting bids submitted across the state. He said, "We are glad to announce that Surulere will host the 2023 Lagos Street Soccer Championship opening ceremony. NFF To Re-appear Before House of Representatives Thursday

The Nigeria football Federation (NFF) will have to appear  two times in just twenty four hours  before the House of Representatives Adhoc Committee on Investigation on  Dispute between Super falcons  and the federation. The Committee was assigned with responsibility to investigate the unpaid bonuses and allowances of the Super Falcons. The Committee Chaired by Honourable Blessing Onuh Onyeche expressed disappointment  and described as affront on the House of Representatives as the Federation's President, Ibrahim Gusau and other Executive Members failed to come with the General Secretary, Sanusi Mohammed.  According to the Chairman of the Committee, the NFF  President cited  ill-health as an excuse not to appear before  House but was strong enough to go on jamboree to FIFA Women's World Cup final when his house is on fire .   The Committee told the NFF that the sitting cannot be possible without the presence of Gusau. Lagos Street Soccer Committee To Embark On Venues Inspection.

The committee of the Lagos Street Soccer Championship will embark on a tour of facility inspections across the state in a bid to ensure a successful hosting of the resuscitated soccer fiesta.  The strong delegate to visit the designated venues will comprise Technical, Security, Venue & Facility Committees.  The delegate's oversight role is to thoroughly inspect, carry out due diligence and determine the readiness of facilities in twenty-four (24) venues listed across seventeen (17) locations to host the championship.  The delegation will also be meeting with Centre coordinators,  Local government officials and other stakeholders where the centres are situated. The delegates include Hon. Issa Arun, Venue and Facility Chairman, Mr. Olatunji Ekemode, Security Committee Chairman and Mr. Yomi Kuku, Technical Committee Chairman amongst others. Lagos FA Appoint Bolaji Yusuf as Lagos Street Soccer Championship Chairman.

Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) has appointed Bolaji Yusuf as Chairman Committee for the Lagos Street Soccer Championship. The appointment was announced by Fouad Alade Oki, LSFA Chairman, at the Inauguration of the Management Committee of Lagos Iconic Football Competitions held today at Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. In a bid to redefine football in Lagos State under the leadership of the new chairman, the FA re-activated critical football components in the State which includes Oba cup, Principal cup, IBILE cup, Lagos Street Soccer, and Lagos Junior League.
