Nigeria’s Wahid Enitan Oshodi has been elected as the Executive Vice President of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Wednesday November 24 in Houston, Texas, in the United States. Wahid Enitan Oshodi, Executive Vice President, International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF)  From the 136 votes casted, Oshodi polled 116 which is the 85.29% of the total vote to emerge top among the 14 candidates that vie for the office of the Executive Vice Presidents. Oshodi is the second Nigerian to be elected to the world body after Segun George and he will serve along seven other Executive Vice Presidents elected at the AGM. As countries begin countdown to the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham next year, the Commonwealth Sports Foundation, Commonwealth Games Nigeria and School Sports Federation will be organising a Commonwealth Quiz competition for Secondary Schools in Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria. The objective of the programme is to educate the students on the history of the Commonwealth Games, promote social interaction amongst students, provide opportunity for them to meet new friends and encourage healthy competition. Two students and a teacher from twelve schools within the Surulere community will participate in the exercise. The programme will take place on Wednesday, November 24, at the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Hall, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) hasfinally reached an agreement with the Gernot Rohr to terminate his contract which was was expected to run to December, 2022, on mutual grounds.  The NFF also agreed with Gernot Rohr's representatives to pay all his outstanding salaries and his total severance package on installmental basis.  Now there is a good news. Foremost basketball exponent, Samuel Oguche says he was inspired to refurbish and renovate the Lokoja basketball court by an amazing gentleman called Mutari Bello. Murtari Bello, a philanthropist and respected gentleman, has been one of the major stakeholders in Kogi state basketball.     Oguche told news men that Mutari has kind of paved the way for this generation to do what they know how to do best. The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) President, Engineer Habu Ahmed Gumel has commended the Bayelsa State government led by His Excellency, Governor Douye Diri for accepting the offer to host the Nigeria Olympic Committee's Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is slated for 15-17, December 2021 in  Yenagoa. Striker John Okoli is optimistic that Al Mokawloon will recover from their unlucky loss to ENPPI in the last round of the Egyptian Premier League. Their last outing ended in a 3-2 defeat at Petrosport Stadium (al-Qāhirah (Cairo)) and the forward feels his team will redeem the situation on Thursday. Board member of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Major General Taritimiye Gagariga says he is passionate about the growth and development of volleyball at the grassroots level. Major General Gagariga disclosed this at the end of the three days Kontagora Volleyball Challenge, grassroots tournament held in the Nigerian Army Cantonment, Kontagora in Niger State from 27th to 31st October 2021.
