The dominance of Egypt in the table tennis event at the ongoing 12th African Games was halted on Monday August 26 after Nigeria and Algeria claimed gold medals in the women and men doubles event. Ambassador rallies support for Table Tennis team in Morocco

The Nigeria Ambassador to Morocco, Baba Garba could not hide his passion for table tennis when he was on hand on Thursday August 22, to cheer the players during the quarterfinal tie against Morocco at the Salle Moulay El Hassan Hall, venue of the table tennis event of the 12th African Games in Rabat, Morocco. The Ambassador was accompanied by some officials of the mission including the Head of Chancery, Adamu Ibrahim Gombe took time to chat with the players while urging ensure they pick the continental sole ticket to Tokyo 2020. The two powerhouses in Africa, Nigeria and Egypt played with ease in their group matches of table tennis event of the 12th African Games holding in Rabat, Morocco. Edo Sports Commission Endorse FCAAN For Coaching Development

The Edo State Sports Commission in conjunction with the Edo State Football Association have concluded plans to welcome the Football Coaches Association of Africa Nations (FCAAN) to Benin-City for a week long Coaching Course for grassroot football coaches. Speaking in Benin-City after reaching an agreement with the founder of FCAAN, Dr Babatunde Terry Eguaoje all the way from the USA, Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Barrister Godwin Dudu-Orumen disclosed that the training and re-training of Coaches is of utmost importance to the game of football at this stage of our football development.
